We’re all looking for the perfect skincare regimen and I must confess to being a bit of a skincare and makeup junkie. Alright, fine… hair care products too. I was shocked when I moved and it took 8 moving boxes to pack the products from my bathroom alone.
Do you have finicky skin? I’ve complained for years that it’s not fair to have gray hair and pimples at the same time. I thought when I hit menopause, that the hormonal acne would be gone but no such luck. my skin breaks out if you even look at it.
But I want to share several products that I really love and have found to be EXTREMELY effective.
So here are my top 7:
1. LaRoche Posay Effaclar Duo Action Acne Treatment
I use this morning and night it’s about $30 but you can get it on sale with a $10 off coupon and it lasts a long time and really helps prevent acne breakouts for me.
Can be used as a moisturizer and a toner and it’s really great at addressing fine lines. Spray some on one hand without rubbing it in and then compare it to the other hand–in 5 minutes and you’ll see a big difference.
3. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Cooling Water Lotion Sunscreen with SPF 30
Before going out in the sun I always use this cooling water lotion sunscreen. At $35 a pop this is an expensive choice, but it’s the only sunscreen I found that I can use on my face without clogging my pores. Again it lasts a long time.
4. Nip + Fab Soften Kale Fix Moisturiser
My new and absolute favorite moisturizer! This stuff is absolutely luscious. It’s thick and still manages to go on light, it smells great and leaves my skin feeling amazing. And it only runs about $19 at CVS.
5. Vi Derm Complete Care for Acne-Prone Skin with Vitamin C
At night after I cleanse my skin I apply Vi Derm Complete Care for Acne-Prone Skin with Vitamin C. It’s a bit more of an investment at about $70 but lasts several months.
For nights when my skin is extra dry I use Sub-cell CTS Retinol iP6 Night Cream. This stuff is wonderful and inexpensive.
7. Crepe Erase Truform Complex Intense Body Repair Treatment
And because I’m getting a tiny bit older and was getting just a little bit of crepey skin at the neck which really shows a woman’s age I started using a body repair treatment. This stuff is so thick, it smells amazing, and has taken away the crepey-ness from my skin like nothing that I have ever tried before.
